PC controlled IO device. Doing my first experiments with the PIC18F4550. The controller seems to be working. Testing the control software (on the left) for the PIC18F4550 controller, by simulating the device. The box for the command module of a alarm system. The central module of the alarm system. It is supposed to switch a loud speaker under certain conditions. The inputs are two IR sensors and a key module. The key module for the alarm system. The finished and installed alarm system central module. A minimalistic sin wave generator, build for demonstration purposes. Testing the minimalistic sin wave generator. Did a pcb design for a simple control unit with an lcd display. Running a simulation of a simple lcd driver and voltage meter. The driver was written for the PIC18F26K80 controller, using PASM. Received custom pcb boards for three projects. First time having pcbs made from my designs. Custom high voltage MOSFET transistor driver. Did the pcb design and component soldering. Duty cycle generator with 555 timer IC. Did the pcb design and component soldering. Testing the circuit. Assembled the control unit with the lcd display in a nice box. Another view of the assembled control device. The control device is working as expected. It will be used to specify voltage levels on a high voltage impulse generator. The HV will range from 0-30KV. This device will also limit the maximum current on the HV gen. Trying out a simple process to etch printed circuit boards. The process uses photo sensitive film to mask of areas, which inturn will be chemically processed. First successful masking test. It was quite tricky to get the exposure and development of the photosensitive film right.
